ABOUT THIS COURSE

Based on the internationally recognised MHFA programme, this course teaches participants how to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions, provide initial support, and guide someone toward appropriate professional help. Reduces stigma and builds a mentally healthy workplace.

All employees; especially managers, HR professionals, and wellbeing champions who want to support colleagues experiencing mental health difficulties

Recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions; provide initial non-judgemental support using the MHFA action plan; guide someone experiencing a mental health crisis to safety; signpost to appropriate professional help and resources; reduce mental health stigma in the workplace

Mental health continuum and common conditions (anxiety, depression, stress, psychosis, substance use); recognising warning signs; the MHFA action plan (ALGEE); listening skills and non-judgemental support; crisis intervention (suicidal thoughts, self-harm, panic attacks); signposting to professional help; building a mentally healthy workplace
